Woman Found Dead At Park

A Baudette woman was found dead at a Lake of the Woods County park Friday after her vehicle was reported abandoned, according to the Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 12:18 p.m. Friday, July 31, the Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an abandoned vehicle at Clementson Rapids Park. Baudette Fire and Rescue and Lake of the Woods Ambulance were called to assist in search efforts. At approximately 2:42 p.m., members of Baudette Fire and Rescue located the vehicle’s registered owner, Blossom Chwialkowski, 64, of Baudette, deceased. The incident remains under investigation pending a full autopsy. The Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
