A building is a total loss after a large structure fire near New York Mills, MN early Friday morning. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says their deputies and crews from multiple area fire departments were called to the scene just before 1:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2. Upon arrival, they say they found a large building containing multiple businesses engulfed in flames - all of which appear to be a total loss. The Sheriff’s Office says no one was hurt in the fire. The fire’s origin is currently unknown, but the MN State Fire Marshall’s Office and the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office are investigating. New York Mills FD, Bluffton FD and Deer Creek FD all responded to the scene.
