A Faribault County man was killed and two children were seriously hurt after the tractor they were riding in rolled over. Just before 1 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to the intersection of 570th Avenue and 108th Street in rural Wells. When they arrived, deputies found Timothy Glen Steinborn, 48, of Walters, pinned underneath the Oliver 770 tractor, along with two boys, 10 and 8. Steinborn was pronounced dead at the scene. The two children were both airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with serious injuries. At this point in their investigation, authorities believe the tractor traveled into a steep east ditch at an incorrect angle, causing it to topple over. The crash remains under investigation by the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
