Child Porn Charges

A Fergus Falls man has been charged after police say he was in possession of child porn, some of which were created by AI. Lesley Nielsen is charged with possession of pornographic work involving minors- minor under 14, and possession of pornographic work involving minors. On February 6, 2025 the Fergus Falls Police Department received an Internet Crimes Against Children tip that involved an IP address located in Fergus Falls. Documents say the file involved an 11 year-old girl performing sexual acts on an adult male. According to documents, a search warrant was obtained and executed on May 22, 2025 for Nielsen’s electronic devices. The search resulted in flags for multiple items of pornographic work involving minors (CSAM), as well as multiple items of artificial intelligence. A detective sent the images and videos that were flagged as CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) for review and possible identification of the victims. The detective received a report from NCMEC on March 4, 2026 that identified over 60 files from Nielsen’s devices containing images of real children from various locations, documents say. The charge involving a minor under 14 carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The second possession charge carries a maximum of 5 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
