On Saturday 7/12/2025 at 11 am, the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an injury crash near the intersection of Warner Road and 301st Avenue, Staples. A 2000 Ford F150 being driven by Russell Johnson of rural Staples was attempting to make a turn into a driveway, when it collided with a 2000 Harley Davidson Softail being driven by Grant Woodwick of Staples. Woodwick collided with the front driver’s side of the vehicle, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Woodwick was transported to Lakewood Hospital for severe injuries. Johnson was later transported to Lakewood hospital for minor injuries sustained in the accident. The Todd County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Staples Police Department, Staples Fire Department and Lakewood Ambulance.
