ATV With Serious Injuries

A driver sustained life-threatening injuries after he overturned his ATV while attempting to pull into his driveway Saturday afternoon. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of an ATV crash on the 4800 Block of Voss Road in rural Mountain Iron at around 3:30 p.m. At the scene, deputies and medical personnel found the driver, identified as a 41-year-old man, unresponsive. A witness told deputies the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash. He had reportedly been attempting to navigate a turn into his driveway when he overturned the ATV. The driver was airlifted to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.
