Otter Tail County officials say an abandoned building is a total loss after catching fire. This happened on Friday, July 11th, just before 10:30 pm. Dispatch says it got a call about a large fire near 32939 500th Ave. When deputies got there, they say they found an abandoned outbuilding, fully engulfed in flames. Personnel from Otter Tail Fire & New York Mills Fire were able to put the fire out. According to the report, the owner of the building told officials he had been burning a brush pile near the building when the outbuilding caught fire. No injuries were reported. The building is a total loss. The fire is under investigation.
